Savannah police investigating shooting after 24-year-old man found dead on White Bluff
Savannah Police s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a 24-year-old man Saturday night.
At around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 11900 block of White Bluff Road after a shooting was reported.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Freddie Wallace, 24, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to those injuries, according to a release from SPD.
Detectives do not believe this is a random shooting. A black male and another male of an unknown race were seen fleeing from the scene, the release read
Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives reported three people were shot in incident.
Police said they responded to the Tree House in the 3003 block of W. St. Julian Street at 2:15 a.m.and found Corey Vance and a 28-year-old male with shooting injuries. Both men were transported to Memorial University Medical Center where Vance later died.
Later in the morning officers were told a third shooting victim from the same incident had arrived at the hospital. The 25-year-old woman had non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are currently working on leads and do not believe this is a random shooting, Keturah Greene, SPD spokesperson said.
