Notts students tell us about their accidental last night out before lockdown
Just in case you needed some inspo for ruining your life on June 21st

Last March we all went home for what we, very wrongly, thought would simply be a prolonged Easter break. Despite being blissfully unaware of the trainwreck of a year we had ahead of us, it appears Notts students took this uncertainty and didn’t just run with it, but sprinted with it as fast as their legs could take them.
Students have had it rough ever since, facing abuse from the media and government, but we didn’t let that drop our spirits. We, as students, know our value on this earth and in this city, and never underestimate our strengths – namely, sabotaging our reputation and bringing shame upon our family name after what was meant to be ‘just a couple of drinks – I’ve got lectures tomorrow’.
Roadkill Nightmares Roadkill Nightmares
With the extinction rates of many species soaring, protecting our local habitats and wildlife has become a priority. Badgers, rabbits and deer are often left on the side of the road or foxes shot to protect flocks of chicken. But what are the statistics?
A recent study by GoCompare has revealed Southampton as the second deadliest area for wildlife in Britain with roadkill numbers skyrocketing. In 2019, 259 roadside accidents with animals were reported just behind Thetford with 264 roadkill incidents. Following close to Southampton, Winchester ranked fourth with 237 animals hit by a vehicle.
The results also reported the A1, M6 and A1(M) are the three worst roads in Britain ranking first, second and third respectively.
Student nurses currently working on placements in hospitals have said they have felt vulnerable and left out in the cold, despite their efforts against the coronavirus pandemic, telling The Tab they feel like “sacrificial lambs”.
As well poor conditions during their placements, they’re angry at the lack of protections afforded to them. In September their placements stopped being paid and as a result of being unpaid staff, will not automatically receive a £60,000 payment if they die from Covid, and are only considered on a case by case basis under the NHS and Social Care Coronavirus Life Assurance Scheme
Only recently has the Nursing and Midwifery Council announced it would bring back some emergency standards, such as giving local governments the ability to pay final year students on placement, and giving first year students the option to move to completely to academic or online learning.
I sent a Google Form to everyone I’ve hooked up with and these are their honest reviews
Several left my form on read and one blocked me

You’re debating over whether to send that morning after text asking “so did you enjoy yourself last night?“, or maybe you stupidly didn’t bother to get their socials. But you just need to know, otherwise how are you gonna improve for next time?
Well being a STEM student I had to gather quantitive data, and put myself through messaging exes, one night stands and other people I would rather have not ever contacted for the rest of my life so I could finally find out, and to see if they would actually respond.
