Research into the language barriers that impact female job applicants has shown that it plays a fundamental role in the recruitment process, with women 50% less likely to consider roles that have a coded gender bias. But when presented with a gender-inclusive advert as part of the study, women’s interest in the role increased by more than 200%, with 60% stating this was because of the way it was written.

AN MP has slammed the Home Office s proposed centre for asylum seekers in Hampshire next to the A303 after a pedestrian was killed in an accident on the road. A 53-year-old man was found between the on and slip on the A303, near Picket Twenty, after police were called at 2.27am on Tuesday. Officers investigating the case believe that a large goods vehicle was in collision with the man, and did not stop. As reported, Romsey and Southampton North MP, Caroline Nokes, started a joint petition against the plans for a temporary facility for up to 500 people on Ministry of Defence land at Barton Stacey, which has already attracted more than 3,000 signatures.
Caroline Nokes It is great to be able to start 2021 by celebrating the approval of the AZ vaccine. This should speed up the roll out of the vaccination programme enormously. The other cause for celebration is the deal secured with the EU, we have avoided the horror of no deal. Obviously there are concerns that the deal says so little on financial services, which account for 1 in every 14 jobs in the UK, that British citizens will only be able to spend 90 days in the EU without a visa and that there is little detail on the new GHIC card which will replace the EHIC. When Parliament returns I will be pressing Ministers on the detail, but for now I shall celebrate that there is a deal.
