On May 20 the Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career and Job Fair announced the recipients of the 2020-2021 Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career and Job Fair bursary. Students from across the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division were recognized with the bursary.
“Supporting Prince Albert and area students in their post-secondary aspirations is what this event is all about,” Patricia Bibby, chairperson of the Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career & Job Fair said in a release.
The fair is a collaborative effort of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Prince Albert Community Futures, Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division.

On Thursday evening the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division notified the public that WP Sandin School in Shellbrook would be moving to remote learning (Level 4) from May 25 to 31.
“The Health Authority is working to contain some community transmission events in Shellbrook and now the schools have been significantly impacted,” the release stated.
They explained that previously many WP Sandin students were isolating because of community exposures, but now all classes (except the Grade 10 class) will be under isolation orders until midnight on May 31.
With regards to the move to Level 4 the division noted that that May 21 is a previously scheduled non-school day and May 24 is the Victoria Day holiday so in total students will be in remote learning for 5 school days and are expected to return to in-person learning on Tuesday June 1.
