COVID-19: Canada Responds: Saskatchewan Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout – May 6, 2021

Saskatchewan Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout – May 6, 2021 In Regina, Saskatchewan Health Minister Paul Merriman announces the province will begin administering the Pfizer Biontech COVID-19 vaccine to youth ages 12 to 15, with the rollout of first doses expected to be completed by the end of June. He also announces the province will soon begin administering second vaccine doses to the general population. Joining the minister via videoconference are Saskatchewan Health Authority representatives Scott Livingstone and Derek Miller, who outline the province’s strategy for delivering second doses, as well as Dr. Saqib Shahab, the province’s chief medical officer of health.
