Man dead in Saginaw County after report of multiple shots fired near Hooters Updated Jan 19, 2021; Facebook Share SAGINAW, MI Police in Saginaw County are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Kochville Township. About 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, officers were dispatched to Hooters, 5538 Bay Road, for a report of shots fired, according to Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel. Federspiel said that officers responded after a call of multiple shots fired and a person running from the scene. Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim deceased. Sheriff Federspiel said detectives are interviewing witnesses and looking at surveillance footage.

File photo by David Schreiber Advertisement WARREN/CENTER LINE  Retired Center Line Public Schools Superintendent Eve Kaltz knew something was up when she was contacted by the district to attend the Jan. 4 Board of Education meeting held virtually. She made sure to log on to the meeting in which she learned the former Peck Elementary School located on Engleman Road will be named in her honor. At the meeting, the school board voted 7-0 to pass a resolution to rename the building the Eve Kaltz Academy 21 and Special Programs Center.
