CHP sends alert for missing 71-year-old man last seen near Sacramento s Garden Highway

Apr. 29 Law enforcement in Sacramento are seeking an at-risk 71-year-old man who has been reported missing, last seen Wednesday afternoon.
John Raymond Torgerson, described as 5-foot-9 and approximately 160 pounds, was last seen wearing a yellow sweatshirt, pink polo shirt and blue jeans, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff s Office and a Silver Alert from the California Highway Patrol.
Torgerson was last seen around 3:45 p.m. near the 2200 block of Garden Highway, according to social media posts from the Sheriff s Office and CHP. That location adjacent to the Caltrans Workers Memorial Bridge (formerly known as the Bryte Bend Bridge) where Interstate 80 travels over the Sacramento River.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Sacramento man who, they say, is at risk.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says 71-year old John Torgerson was last seen Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at 2271 Garden Highway.
Deputies say Torgerson suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease.
He is described as white, 160 pounds, and 5’9” tall. He was last seen wearing a pink polo shirt with white stripes shirt over a yellow sweater, blue jeans, and a necklace bearing his information.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) The man suspected in a hit-and-run that ejected an infant from a stroller in south Sacramento has been arrested after a months-long search.
California Highway Patrol says the incident happened back on Feb. 7. A mother was out pushing her infant in a stroller and was crossing the intersection of Lucchesi Drive and Harney Way when they were struck by a minivan.
The infant was ejected onto the street in the crash; the driver took off without checking on either the woman or the infant, officers say.

California Highway Patrol - South Sacramento announced on Monday, April 26 Joel Alonzo was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Mail Jail.
