If we have the evidence, we re going to prosecute you | California leaders prepare for possible violent protests I think it should be very clear that we don’t want armed protesters here, we don’t want violence, we don’t want riots, said District Attorney Anne-Marie Schubert. Author: Andie Judson Updated: 7:28 AM PST January 14, 2021 I think it should be very clear that we don’t want armed protesters here. We don’t want violence. We don’t want riots and, quite frankly, as I’ve said before, Trump lost and we need to move this country forward in a unified effort, Sacramento County District Attorney Anne-Marie Schubert said.
Sacramento Man Charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl Pills Details Written by IVN
Sacramento, California - A federal grand jury returned a one-count indictment Thursday against Sabian Quesada, 22, of Sacramento, charging him with possession with intent to distribute at least 40 grams of fentanyl, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.
According to court documents, on November 13, Quesada was found to be in possession of a significant number of counterfeit oxycodone hydrochloride pills containing fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opiate known to cause overdoses and death, even in small quantities.
This case is the product of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney James Conolly is prosecuting the case.
Given the backlash against law enforcement in certain places around the country, Andre Licon said heâs reflected on the year thatâs been for members of his profession.
Licon is the community response officer for the Sutter County Sheriffâs Dept. He said heâs never had an issue with a resident of Sutter County and appreciates the fact that the region is supportive of first responders.
âItâs a thing thatâs beyond my control,â Licon said about how law enforcement personnel are perceived.
When current Sutter County Sheriff Brandon Barnes took over the department, he created Liconâs position. After spending two years as a correctional officer and about 14 as a deputy, Licon took over the new position. In total, Licon, 46, has spent 17½ years at the Sutter County Sheriffâs Office.
