From Brio Academy: Brittany DeJoseph, Dance Instructor, Rachel Schwarz, Founder & Artistic Director, and the Teen Musical Theatre Performance Team.
A boost for the Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre, thanks to students from the Brio Academy.
Students and families from the creative arts school hosted a virtual holiday concert just before Christmas, featuring performances from some of the dance, musical theatre, and drama classes.
“Many of our families have been touched by the work the CTC does, and everyone jumped at the chance to work on this initiative,” says Brio founder and artistic director, Rachel Schwarz says. “We are so proud of our incredible Brio students, families and faculty, and touched by the generosity of everyone who donated.”

A big show of support for the Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre.
The RBC Foundation through its Youth Mental Well-being Project, has donated $25,000 to the Centre’s Life Links program.
The program, which is the only one of its kind in Chatham-Kent, supports children and youth with special needs, transitioning into adulthood, with discovering and pursuing their unique interests of becoming active and contributing adult members of their community.
“The Children’s Treatment Centre and Foundation are incredibly excited about RBC Foundation’s continued partnership and support of our Life Links program,” says CTC Executive Director Donna Litwin-Makey. “Grants from organizations like the RBC Foundation are significant to the Centre in that they help support our enhanced programs- such as Social Work, Recreation and Music Therapy- that are not covered by core government funding.”
