A Southern folk troubadour, master acoustic guitarist, and award-winning composer for film, TV, and video games, it’s not often that a renaissance man like Rod Abernethy comes along. Today, Abernethy is proud to add his new full-length album Normal Isn’t Normal Anymore to his vast catalog of works. CHARLOTTE, N.C. Today on Wilson’s World, Wilson is joined by musician Rod Abernethy.
Rod Abernethy has been part of the North Carolina music scene since the 70’s, when he was in the rock band Arrogance. He now teaches at UNC’s School of the Arts, is an award-winning composer who has scored for dozens of TV/movies/video games, and was touring frequently pre-pandemic.
Rod is releasing a new album on February 5th called Normal Isn’t Normal Anymore, produced by Grammy-nominee Neilson Hubbard. Written/recorded pre-pandemic, Abernethy tells real-life stories of everyday people usually with the Carolinas as a backdrop.
