Two Petty Theft Suspects Flee From Deputies In Santa Clarita One Detained, One Outstanding
One suspect was detained and another is outstanding after they allegedly stole alcohol from a Santa Clarita business and fled from deputies Wednesday.
Around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, two suspects reportedly fled from deputies in Valencia after they were wanted for stealing alcohol from a business in the 24000 block of Magic Mountain Parkway, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies were able to locate and detain one of the suspects near McBean and Magic Mountain Parkways, according to Arriaga.
A second suspect fled the location in a Dodge Durango, according to officials.
Two Arrested On Multiple Felonies After Santa Clarita Traffic Stop
Two felony suspects, including one wanted man, were arrested in Santa Clarita Friday after a routine traffic stop.
Around 7:30 a.m. Friday, deputies patrolling the Old Road near Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with several vehicle code violations, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“During (the) traffic stop, deputies contacted the occupants of the vehicle and learned the male adult driver did not have a valid driver’s license,” Arriaga said. “During investigation, deputies learned the male had several outstanding warrants.”

Child Hospitalized After Suffering Unknown Medical Emergency At West Creek Academy In Santa Clarita
A child was transported to the hospital Friday after suffering an unknown medical emergency at West Creek Academy in Santa Clarita.
Around 12:40 p.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a child suffering from an unknown medical emergency at West Creek Academy on West Hills Drive in Valencia, said Leslie Lua, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Paramedics along with Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputies responded to render aid to the individual, according to officials.
One person was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, according to Lua.
Man Arrested After Allegedly Strangling Mother During Argument In Santa Clarita
A Santa Clarita man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly strangled his mother during a verbal argument.
Around 3 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received reports of a family disturbance in the 20000 block of Crest view Drive in Canyon Country, said Sgt. Brian Shreves, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“It was an argument between the suspect and his mother,” Shreves said.
At some point of the argument, the suspect allegedly strangled the victim, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Brandon Villegas, 28, from Canyon Country was arrested on felony battery, Shreves added.
