Wanted Assault Suspect Arrested During Sylmar Search Warrant Deputies arrested a wanted assault suspect Tuesday during a search warrant with the assistance of the Los Angeles Police Department, (LAPD) after he allegedly brandished a firearm during an argument Monday evening in Canyon Country. Around 10:20 p.m. Monday, deputies received reports of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 22900 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “The suspect, who also had multiple outstanding warrants, displayed a firearm during a verbal argument at a local business in Canyon Country,” Arriaga said.

Two Canyon Country Robbery Suspects Flee With Child In Backseat Deputies are investigating a Canyon Country robbery Monday at the Sam’s Club after two suspects accompanied by a child allegedly stole an unknown amount of currency at knifepoint. Around 2:40 p.m. Monday, deputies received reports of a robbery at the Sam’s Club on Carl Boyer Drive in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “An undefined amount of currency was taken,” at knifepoint, Arriaga said. The two suspects were last seen fleeing the location in a black Kia with a child in the backseat, according to Arriaga.

Around 7:15 p.m. Monday, deputies received reports of a drunk individual at Henry Mayo Hospital on McBean Parkway in Valencia, said Lt. Rod Loughridge, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “We got a call at the station that at the front entrance of the ER an extremely drunk person was refusing to see hospital staff,” Loughridge said. When deputies arrived on scene, a use of force occurred, Loughridge said.
