Indian American Dr. Aakash Ahuja is once again hoping to claim a seat on the Santa Clarita City Council in Southern California. Ahuja, who had run unsuccessfully for the same seat in the 2020 election cycle, finishing sixth in the nine-candidate race, said he remains committed to serving the people of Santa Clarita, while announcing his candidacy at a July 4 event. A psychiatrist for the California State Prison System, and a seven-year resident of Santa Clarita, Ahuja said, âWe moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 2014, and the city has given our family a lot,â according to a Hometown Station report.

Four Arrested For Assault After Homeowner Attacked By Drunk Poolgoers Four Santa Clarita residents were arrested on felony assault charges Sunday after allegedly getting into a fight when three of them assaulted a homeowner after being locked in a community pool complex. Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies received reports of a possible assault with a deadly weapon call on Cunningham Drive in Saugus, said Sgt. Brian Shreves with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “Three of them were at a community pool drinking,” Shreves said. When the three were leaving the pool, two of the individuals walked one of their “drunk friends” to the vehicle, according to Shreves.
