Girl Scout Troop Raises Over $4,000 For Family Of Santa Clarita Murder Victim Girl Scout Troop 70842 raised over $4,000 for the children of Santa Clarita murder victim Michelle Dorsey during their fundraiser at Firehouse Subs on Saturday. Looking for a way to earn their silver award, Santa Clarita Girl Scout Troop 70842 decided to dedicate their project to give back to the Dorsey boys, three boys that they had never even met. “We did not know the Dorsey family, but we live very close and we heard the helicopters overhead (the day of the incident). It hit very close to home,” Julie Fick, a girl scout leader of the troop, said. “To me and to the girls it was like, ‘what if that was us?’ I can’t even imagine.”
