Starting July 15, Santa Barbara Airbus will offer eight daily trips to Los Angeles International Airport, and eight trips from LAX to Carpinteria, Santa Barbara and Goleta. Schedules have been adjusted to accommodate the additional trips, according to a news release. Passengers who booked trips on the bus for July 15 or after will be notified of the change in schedule times and rebooked on the trip closest to their original time.
In addition to the LAX schedule expansion, the organization also added transportation to the cruise ship ports and day trips. Cruise Ship Connection will get passengers to the San Pedro and Long Beach cruise ports once daily on cruise ship arrival and departure days.

The Loma Fire on Santa Barbara’s Westside was declared 100% contained on Monday evening, according to the Santa Barbara Fire Department.
Firefighters will continue to patrol the area through Tuesday evening and Loma Alta Drive will likely remain closed to vehicle traffic tentatively until Monday, May 31 at 8 a.m., said Santa Barbara fire Engineer Kevin Corbett.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Santa Barbara City Fire announced the Loma Fire is now 100 percent contained Monday evening.
After a 2:30 p.m. meeting among the City Fire Department heads, they announced that the Loma Fire is now considered fully contained. Firefighters will continue to patrol the area through Tuesday evening.
They anticipate Loma Alta Drive will remain closed until 8 a.m. next Monday, May 31. City firefighters are still cleaning up any damage in the roadways while Santa Barbara City Streets engineers are developing a plan to mitigate the hazards from the falling hillside. The road will be opened when it is safe to do so.
