San Antonio’s special committee on emergency preparedness met for the last time Friday before it plans to release a full report later this month. A new series of maps showing how long certain parts of the city went without power during the winter storm were released.
After pushback from landowners and environmental groups, the San Antonio Water System has ditched a controversial plan to run sewer pipelines through protected land in North Bexar.
San Antonio Water System shared a photo on Twitter of a water main break on the city's southeast side. The tweet says, "A non-SAWS contractor hit a 24-inch water main in the 6800 block of Pecan Valley near SE Military Drive." It also says, "Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to make repairs. They tweeted the photo at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday.
