Texas Keo named San Joaquin County Teacher of the Year

Ripon Elementary School teacher Texas Keo has been named the 2021 San Joaquin County Teacher of the Year by the San Joaquin County Office of Education. Keo, who has been teaching at Ripon Elementary School for the past 14 years, is a model to follow.  She currently teaches transitional kindergarten through third grade as a Title 1 Response to Intervention teacher for reading and math. Keo described herself as determined, committed and a fighter, all which are easy to see in her everyday work ethic.  “We have a transitional kindergarten class. In early April, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the tier system, which has defined the way counties have reopened for months, could be going away on June 15.
