Two Ripon schools were locked down on Tuesday morning after a theft suspect being pursued by Ripon Police officers was spotted on the Ripon High campus.
According to authorities, 23-year-old Stockton resident Jordan Anderson was suspected of attempting to steal a generator from Schemper’s Ace Hardware – which is diagonally across from the Ripon Police Department – and fled the area towards the direction of Ripon Christian Elementary School when officers arrived.

A vehicle stop last week resulted in two firearms and a small quantity of methamphetamine being taken off the street.
According to the Manteca Police Department, officers on patrol on Lathrop Road stopped a vehicle on Jan. 18 and discovered that one of the passengers, 25-year-old Donald Baker III of Manteca, was on searchable probation. When officers searched Baker, they discovered a loaded handgun on his person and then they proceeded to search the vehicle – uncovering a black powder
