Next Tuesday, June 15, marks the day the State of California ends its Blueprint for a Safer Economy. The color-coded tiered system to keep residents safe will be a thing of the past, but many wonder if their local county will follow the state health department s lead.
SAN FRANCISCO - Businesses are gearing up for June 15, the target date Gov. Gavin Newsom set for a full reopening of the state s economy.
While that date is rapidly approaching, restaurants and bars still have a lot of work ahead of them to get ready.

Popular Korean grocery store inches closer to its grand opening in San Francisco

After nearly three years of waiting, San Franciscans might finally get to shop at the city s very first H Mart outpost in April.
The popular Korean grocery chain, which is based in New Jersey, told SFGATE that it anticipates opening its new location at 3995 Alemany Blvd. sometime this month, though an official date has yet to be announced. More information about the opening is expected to be shared on its website.
Performing Stars is a non-profit helping underserved kids in Marin County achieve their potential. The organization hosted an event for Black History Month at Lucasfilm where students learned about the Tuskegee airmen.
City EMT and the funding provided through OFA is an example of the programs that will be made possible by Mayor Breed s Dream Keeper Initiative, according to the Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
Following weeks of nationwide protests in response to the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last year, San Francisco City Leaders pledged greater investment in Black and other marginalized communities to correct systemic issues causing disparate outcomes.
