Corona man arrested at Hesperia hotel for alleged sex crimes with a minor

Authorities on Tuesday arrested Corona resident Darren Garcia, 31, at a hotel in Hesperia on suspicion of multiple sex crimes committed against a Victorville minor he met online.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff s Victorville station reported Thursday that Deputy T. Kautz began an investigation on Jan. 13 into allegations of sexual abuse of a girl under the age of 18.
The victim’s mother told authorities she believed her daughter had been sexually assaulted between the time the girl left home without permission on Dec. 29 and when she returned the following day, the report said.
Victorville felon arrested on suspicion of firearm violations after foot pursuit

Authorities have arrested a 31-year-old Victorville man on suspicion of firearm violations after he led a San Bernardino County Sheriff s deputy on a foot pursuit.
Deputy S. Evans arrested Edward Sada around 8:25 p.m. Tuesday after initially witnessing a 2020 Dodge Caravan exceeding the posted speed limit while traveling eastbound on Green Tree Boulevard, the Victorville Sheriff s Station reported Wednesday.
The driver of the van, later identified as Sada, a convicted felon, allegedly continued to drive recklessly. Near the intersection of Greenbriar and Wimbleton drives, Sada the drove the Caravan into a house, the report said.
Next winter storm arrives Thursday
The third winter storm of the week will bring widespread rain to the Southland Thursday and Friday. The rain looks to first reach the San Gorgonio Pass and desert late Thursday night.
