CalTrans will conduct its annual mandatory emergency response drill at the Devil’s Slide tunnels on Highway 1 beginning 9 p.m. tonight, Feb. 3, and ending 4 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4.
Thirty-year-old Kaylan Freeman was arrested at his El Granada home on Thursday for suspected rape, sexual assault and other charges, according to a press release from the San Mateo County Sheriffâs Office.Â
Freeman appeared in court on Monday but did not enter a plea. He faces 10 counts of forceable rape and 10 other charges including kidnapping. The case was continued to Feb. 16, when he is expected to enter a plea.
Between 2012 and 2015, Freeman allegedly violated four victims, who were between 13 to 18 years old at the time. The district attorneyâs office says all of the victims knew the defendant at the time of the crimes.Â

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. - A San Mateo County man suspected of raping multiple girls over the course of several years was arrested Thursday after one of the victims came forward to identify him, according to sheriff s officials.
Deputies are still investigating the crimes, which date from between 2012 and 2017 and involved the alleged rape of at least four girls, sheriff s officials announced.
Investigators allege that 30-year-old Kaylan Freeman found the girls on social media sites or dating apps and met them at various locations throughout the county.
