3 injured in alcohol-involved rollover in Hart Lake Township
Three people were injured when their vehicle rolled into a ditch in Hart Lake Township last Friday. Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the accident.

HART LAKE TOWNSHIP Three people were injured when their vehicle rolled into a ditch in Hart Lake Township in Hubbard County last Friday. Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the accident. Travis Huesers, 32, and Charles Larose, 36, both of Bemidji, and Alyssa Beaulieu, of Dilworth, were traveling south together on County Road 45 in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer when the vehicle went past a stop sign, entered the ditch and overturned, according to a release from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office.

As I sat in my car in the parking lot of McDonald’s the other day, enjoying a fish sandwich and Dr. Pepper, I was looking out at beautiful Lake Bemidji. As I watched the many hikers and bikers pass by I realized how lucky we are to be a bedroom community to your wonderful city.

Bemidji police officers responded to a stabbing and assault Wednesday night, which was discovered during a traffic stop in downtown Bemidji.

BEMIDJI Bemidji police officers responded to a stabbing and assault Wednesday night, which was discovered during a traffic stop in downtown Bemidji.
According to a press release from Bemidji Police Captain David LaZella, at 11:30 p.m. on April 21, a Bemidji police officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that had exited the 300 block of Minnesota Avenue at high speed.
The driver of the vehicle said they had witnessed an assault and were driving the victim to the hospital. The passenger of the vehicle, Donald Pepworth, 38, of Bemidji, said he had been stabbed by a person on the 100 block of Third Street NW, according to the release.

Three individuals were hospitalized with various injuries, including gunshot wounds, and a man was charged with four felony offenses after a break-in turned attempted murder in Puposky on Sunday.

PUPOSKY Three individuals were hospitalized with various injuries, including gunshot wounds, and a man was charged with four felony offenses after a break-in turned attempted murder in Puposky on Sunday.
Around 2:39 a.m. on April 18, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of multiple assaults with a weapon at a residence on Silver Maple Road in Puposky in Beltrami County, according to a criminal complaint.
