WORTHINGTON Sanford Worthington Medical Center, a regional hub for Pfizer vaccine distribution, along with Nobles County Public Health, are now at a standstill in the process of getting COVID-19 vaccine into the awaiting arms of an anxious public.
Both facilities reported this week that they have no vaccine available.
Nobles County Public Health received its first doses of the Moderna vaccine Dec. 28 and began vaccinations the next day, according to Michelle Ebbers, Community Health Services Administrator. Ten staff members have been helping with the vaccination process, spending three days a week for the past four weeks to administer the vaccine.
Crash On I-90 East Of Worthington Injures Missouri Man

(Worthington, Mn.) A Missouri man was injured in a single vehicle crash Tuesday on Interstate 90 east of Worthington.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 51-year-old Matthew Parkhurst of Greenwood, Missouri lost control of a 2007 Ford F150 while traveling eastbound. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled.
Parkhurst was taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say the crash took place a little before 2:30 pm and that the road was snow and ice covered.

A 2007 Ford F150 operated by Matthew Harry Parkhurst, 51, of Greenwood, Missouri was eastbound in snowy/icy when it lost control, entered the ditch and rolled. Parkhurst was taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, Worthington Ambulance and Brewster Fire Department assisted.
10:33 a.m. Saturday: 800 block of 10th Street, Worthington.
10:59 p.m. Saturday: Worthington (no location disclosed), adult male who fell and had a large cut on his head.

Minnesota State Patrol: 9:19 a.m. Saturday, Minnesota 60 east of Wilder. A 2019 Toyota Sedan operated by Say La Way, 39, of Columbia, MIssouri was westbound in snowy/icy conditions and collided with an eastbound 2020 Ford Escape operated by Brittni Jo Palkert, 29, of Eden Prairie. Palkert was transported to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries. The Windom Police Department and Windom Fire Department assisted.
