The Bowling House in Norwich becomes must-visit restaurant

Published: 5:30 AM May 25, 2021    Updated: 10:10 AM May 25, 2021 The Bowling House in Norwich has become known for its great food and drink as well as its bowling since the start of the pandemic, pictured is owner Jack Thompson. - Credit: Beth Moseley Photography (main image)/Bowling House While the lanes at the Bowling House in Norwich reopened on May 19, the venue was flooded with bookings for weeks before that thanks to its growing reputation for food and drink.  Under the latest lockdown easing, bowling was allowed to return from May 17, but the Bowling House in Dereham Road has been welcoming customers back since April for outdoor dining.

What can I do in Norfolk when restrictions ease on May 17?

Arc Cinema in Great Yarmouth will be reopening on May 17. The Light cinema in Thetford is expected to open in May while Central Cinema in Fakenham will host screenings from May 17.  Movie-goers will be able to return to Great Yarmouth s Arc Cinema. - Credit: Archant Many of the other independent cinemas have not yet confirmed when they will reopen. Outdoor cinemas will also be permitted to open. Theatres in Norfolk will be welcoming back audiences, with the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston hosting the Summer Showtime variety show from May 18, Sheringham Little Theatre staging shows and film screenings from May 22, and music performances returning to Diss Corn Hall.
