Kent makes coaching debut with Gladiators Saturday vs Northern Arizona

Robert Kent Jr. will be making his head coaching debut with the Duke City Gladiators (2-4) on Saturday when they face the Northern Arizona Wranglers (1-5) in an Indoor Football League game at the Rio Rancho Event Center. Kickoff is set for 6:05 p.m., with a tailgate party scheduled to begin 3 p.m. On the opposite sideline will be coach Dominic Bramante, who was released by the Gladiators after leading them to Champions Indoor Football League titles in 2018 and 2019. Kent was his quarterback in the 2019 title game. All tickets are $7. First responders will be admitted free.

Boatmen re-sign Kwemo & Bladek; Add Allen + Extend Four Share Nelkas Kwemo and Canadian OL Dariusz Bladek, while extending the contracts of American DL Earl Okine, American RB Jordan Powell. The Argos also signed American OL Dejon Allen. Kwemo, 25, played 17 games in Double Blue during the 2019 season, recording 13 defensive tackles and 16 special teams tackles, third most on the team. The 6’3, 235-pound linebacker was a second-round draft choice of the Argos in 2018 and tallied 15 special teams tackles in 11 games during his rookie season. The Montreal native played 28 games over four seasons at Queen’s University and registered 149 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three interceptions and two forced fumbles for the Golden Gaels. Kwemo was named First Team All-Canadian in his final year at Queen’s.
