‘I’m heartbroken’: Mum of Brent Cross stabbing victim Gedeon Ngwadema says he had a bright future ahead of him John Dunne and Barney Davis
A man stabbed to death at a shopping centre in Brent Cross has been named by his family as Gedeon Ngwadema.
His mother, Thethe Elonga, collapsed and broke down in tears as she arrived to lay flowers at the scene on Wednesday morning.
She told the Standard: “I’m heartbroken. He was a wonderful boy, respectful and lovely. He did very well at school and had a very bright future ahead of him.”
The family said Gedeon, 21, had been out shopping with his mother, he returned home and then received a call from a friend. He went out and his family never saw him alive again.

A huge blaze has destroyed two Grade-II listed boatyards and vessels on a Thames island in south-west London.
One of the the historic “little ships” that rescued WW2 soldiers during the evacuation of Dunkirk is said to be among those lost in the fire.
The inferno broke out at Platt’s Eyot in Hampton just after 5pm on Monday, with witnesses claiming to have heard “explosions” coming from the area.
Boaters were trying to get close to the industrial fire to help as firefighters approached the island from the water.
