County Reports 110 New Cases of COVID-19 for Thursday, Dec. 10
MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Health Department reported 110 new cases of COVID-19 for Thursday, Dec. 10.
The numbers were released early last Friday afternoon and are the latest numbers available until a new report comes out later today.
According to the Chautauqua County Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard, the total number of known active cases as of Thursday was 441, 62 more cases than what had been reported for Wednesday. There were also 23 people hospitalized in the county who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 – three higher than the previous day. And the 7-day Average Positive rate for the entire county was 6.3% – one-tenths of a percent higher than what was reported for Wednesday.
MAYVILLE Additional water distribution times have been announced by the Chautauqua County Health Department.
On Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., village officials will be providing canned and bottled water for pick-up at the Town of Chautauqua DPW Garage at 50 Patterson St.
On Monday from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tops Market has donated bottled water for village residents. It will be available for pick-up in the parking lot at the TOPS Market at 64 S. Erie St.
Residents were informed Thursday they are not to drink or use the water for any purpose other than laundry or washing dishes. Water cannot even be boiled for drinking.

So far, there are water distributions planned for Monday through Friday. However, the health department says plans are being made for the weekend as well, and will be announced soon.
On Monday, water donated from Tops Markets will be distributed in the Tops Market parking lot at 64 S. Erie Street from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
