Subscriber only A Mackay woman has been arrested and charged after she was allegedly caught high-range drink-driving through a residential street at Moranbah. The 41-year-old Bucasia woman allegedly recorded a blood-alcohol content reading of 0.171 after she was intercepted by police at Lawson Drive about 10.30pm on April 14. Senior Sergeant Adam Dyer said the woman was pulled over for a random breath-test when she recorded the positive result. The woman s driver s licence was immediately suspended and she has been issued a notice to appear at Moranbah Magistrates Court on May 13.

A 25-YEAR-old driver was caught speeding twice in 15 minutes by two different patrolling police officers.
The Charters Towers man was intercepted by police today while travelling at 119km/hr in a 100km/hr zone along the Peak Downs Hwy.
The man was issued with a $266 fine and had three demerit points attached to his driver s licence.
About 14 minutes later, the man was again intercepted by different police also patrolling Peak Downs Hwy, where he was allegedly driving at 119 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The man was again issued with a fine of $266 and had a further three demerit points attached to his driver s licence.
