The man was assaulted between Murroch Avenue near its junction with Muir Road A man has been left with facial wounds after he was seriously assaulted yesterday morning in Dumbarton. Between 9am and 9.20am on Tuesday morning (May 25), a 23-year-old man was assaulted in Murroch Avenue, near to its junction with Muir Road. The injured man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated for facial lacerations. Detective Sergeant Bruce Fyfe said: “This serious assault was not reported to police at the time, so we are now carrying out a number of enquiries to establish as much detail as possible to progress our investigation.
