Repeat disqualified rider told he is jail bound

Brett Wright received jail terms of six months each for each of his three disqualified driving charges, all to be served concurrently and with immediate parole, when he appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court for sentence on Friday. Brett Kevin Wright, 24, a labourer from Carina Heights, pleaded guilty to a series of charges including failing to stop for police at Redbank Plains on March 17 2020; three charges of driving when court disqualified at Darra, Spring Hill, and Redbank Plains; possession of dangerous drugs; possession of drug utensils; and failing to appear at court.

Prolific thief targeted jewellery store, hotel

Appearing before Ipswich Magistrates Court from jail via video-link, Aidan Eden Pascoe, 31, from Brassall, pleaded guilty to entering premises of Showcase Jewellers and stealing at Mount Ommaney on November 16 last year; stealing perfume from the Chemist Warehouse in Oxley; stealing alcoholic beverages from BWS Redbank Plains; stealing a bottle of vodka from the Jindalee hotel; possession of dangerous drugs; and failing to safely dispose of a used needle/syringe.

Jade Stelling was given immediate parole eligibility but now faces uncertainty as to the time it will take when making her case for parole release. Thousands of prisoners are experiencing long delays by the parole board in finalising their applications, the Ipswich Magistrate Court heard when she was sentenced. Appearing from jail via video-link Jade Teresa Stelling, 31, from Wulkuraka, pleaded guilty to 13 charges. The charges include unlawful common assault at North Ipswich on August 8, 2020; four counts of possession of illegal drugs including methamphetamine in Eastern Heights on May 22, 2019; two counts of failing to safely dispose of used needles/ syringes; driving when disqualified at Plainland on October 21, 2019; and four breaches of bail.
