Local girl injured in rollover crash
Female juvenile driver likely left roadway and over-corrected on Crooked River Highway
A young local driver sustained minor injuries following a rollover crash on Crooked River Highway just south of Prineville late Thursday morning.
Crook County emergency personnel received a report on the crash at 11:55 a.m., and when deputies arrived on scene and contacted the juvenile female driver, she had already exited the car on her own.
An investigation determined that the driver was traveling southbound when for unknown reasons, she left the roadway. Authorities believe she overcorrected, causing the car to roll. The vehicle came to a final resting position back on its tires. The driver was wearing her seatbelt prior to the crash.
