UPDATE: The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 42-year-old Charles Eugene Mullins, of Gadsden.
EARLIER:
HOOVER The Hoover Police Department is investigating the death of a man after he fell from an overpass over Interstate 65.
The incident happened at 11:52 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates said the man fell from the bridge onto I-65, at the 249.5 mile marker.
The man was taken to UAB Hospital where he died at 1:08 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18.
