The two-year grant with $500,000 distributed in 2021 and $500,000 in 2022 will allow the YMCA to continue to serve residents through its downtown Flint and Pierson Road facilities, as well as Camp Copneconic in Mundy Township, while planning for long-term sustainability.

The $50,000 grant has been given to the Genesee Chamber Foundation to provide meals to the volunteers working at Covid vaccine sites. The grant money is aimed at rewarding the hard working frontline healthcare workers, but the money will help others in Genesee County as well.
