NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police say a woman died after being shot just before noon Saturday.
Police responded at approximately 11:58 a.m. to a reported shooting at a home in the 5000 block of Parana Street. Responding officers found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Deputy Police Chief Ken Hagge.
Hagge confirmed Saturday afternoon that the victim died of her injuries.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Police say a cyclist who was struck by a vehicle overnight Sunday morning died.
Police responded at 12:11 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Rivers Avenue and Remount Road, Deputy Chief Scott Deckard said.
The vehicle involved fled from the scene but was located later.
There is no word on an arrest.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston Fire Department and Charleston County EMS responded to a call about an unresponsive person on Friday.
Authorities say when they arrived at the home on Maranda Holmes Street they found the occupant of the home deceased.
Firefighters noted that a fire had occurred in the kitchen area of the home, but it had self-extinguished prior to their arrival.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities have identified an 80-year-old man who died in a vehicle crash in Awendaw.
The Charleston County Coronerâs Office said Jimmy Gore of North Charleston died at MUSC on Saturday afternoon.
According to the coronerâs office, he died from injuries he suffered from a car crash that day on N. Highway 17 and Doar Road.
The Charleston County Sheriffâs Office is investigating.
