(WCSC) - The coroner’s office says a James Island man died Sunday night in a shooting. Nygel Covington, 22, died at the scene of a shooting on Secessionville Road from a gunshot wound, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Christina Harrison said. Charleston County deputies respond to a call about a shooting in the 1300 block of Secessionville Road at 8:45 p.m. Sunday. Deputies say that when they arrived the found an injured male on the property and a body a dirt roadway next to the address.
