Salisbury Law Courts A MAN will appear before a Salisbury judge next month accused of holding his wife against her will. Robert Nemeth-Perz, 49, is also said to have assaulted the woman during the ordeal in Trowbridge on February 7 last year. Prosecutors claim that over a month and a half between December 23, 2019 and February 7, 2020, he recorded private calls, tracked her location and was overbearing. Appearing before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon, Nemeth-Perz, of Haden Road, Trowbridge, entered no pleas to allegations of false imprisonment, causing actual bodily harm and engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour towards his then wife.

Luke Paterson, 32, of Wheeler Way, Malmesbury. pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle over the specified drug limit at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday. As well as being disqualified, he was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs. On the evening of July 22, last year, officers had reason to stop a blue Honda Jazz on Longleaze. Officers had reason to believe that Paterson was under the influence of drugs and administered a road-side test which returned a positive reading for cannabis.

Daniel Palmer, 28, was jailed for 18 months in 2015 for causing death by careless driving. He was behind the wheel of a red Citroen Saxo that crashed in Melksham a year before, killing 19-year-old passenger Max Lewis. At Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Palmer was fined £180 and given six points after he admitted driving carelessly in Chippenham last March.
