In an enthralling talk at the Chalke Valley History Festival on Sunday, Salisbury Chemical Warfare expert, Hamish De Bretton-Gordon declared that it was ‘Highly highly unlikely that any Novichok remains in Salisbury’. “I would not be worried at all,” he said. “The pair of numptys from the FSB (Russian Secret Service) probably took any that was left back”. Hamish was in Abu Dhabi when the attack happened and he rushed back to the city to be met by a barrage of disinformation by the Russian media to try and muddy the waters and discredit him. “The low casualty list was amazing, thousands could have died,” he added and went on to praise the ‘unbelievably brilliant’ staff at Salisbury District Hospital and Porton Down saying things could have been much worse without their actions.
