April 26, 2021- Last Friday, the Town of Paradise reclaimed a treasured community space and took a major step forward in rebuilding its community more than two years after the Camp Fire tore through the area. Survivors of the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history can once again return to Bille Park, a 56-acre community hub that is owned and operated by the Paradise Recreation and Park District.

Illinois is about to embark down a very dark path, with the help of our esteemed Governor. The state is currently working with a privately owned company in a “public-private” partnership in order to bring about the country’s first vaccine passport. Helping save those who do not wish to be saved. Is this fair? Keep in mind the average age of death for victims is 80, and the vast majority of people that have died from this dise
Q. Dear Neil: Is it a good idea to topdress a lawn with topsoil in the spring? My dad used to do that when I was a kid. I donât see people doing it as much anymore.
A. I donât mean to diminish your dadâs hard work, but it doesnât make any sense unless you have a lawn that is uneven with ruts that need to be filled in. The problem with bringing topsoil in is that you run a big risk of introducing weeds like nutsedge at the same time. Plus, if you donât really need to change the grade, youâre effectively raising your lawn each time that you add soil. You could change the flow of water across your yard. It wouldnât happen in one year, but it could if you did it year after year. My vote is not to topdress your lawn.
