EXETER – Deirdre Horvath, CNM, FNP, RN and Leighel Webb, CNM, RN have joined Core Obstetrics & Gynecology (formerly Partners for Women’s Health) as Certified Nurse Midwives at their location inside Exeter Hospital.
Horvath received both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in nursing at Emory University, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA. She is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a midwife, Horvath practiced as a Certified Doula.
Webb received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Ohio University in Athens, OH, and her Master of Science in nursing from University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. She is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Registered Nurse. Prior to becoming a midwife, Webb was a labor and delivery nurse and has more than 20 years of experience in caring for women in labor.

IDAHO FALLS Earlier this year, a woman named Katie Clay unexpectedly went into labor and gave birth to a healthy baby boy in a parking lot. At first, the emergency seemed like it had ended and ended happily. But then, the woman continued to feel labor pains.
Alarmed, she and her mother drove to the birthing center where Clay, much to everyone’s surprise, delivered a second baby. Another boy. She had never known she was pregnant with twins, or that her pregnancy was high-risk.
In east Idaho, pregnant women have multiple birthing plan options. They can choose to see an OBGYN, or, like Clay, opt for what she called the “old-fashioned” way and select a midwife instead.
