Netflix has had some great success in bringing adaptations of popular novels to the screen, and the latest page-turner to get that treatment is AJ Finn’s 2018 best-seller The Woman in the Window.

Atonement and The Darkest Hour director Joe Wright helms the psychological thriller, and he can rely on a stellar cast to bring Finn’s characters to life – with Amy Adams taking on the lead role, while A-list support is provided by the likes of Oscar winners Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore.
The film, which bears no relation to the classic Fritz Lang film noir of the same name, tells the story of an agoraphobic psychologist who gets drawn into a sinister plot while confined to her New York City apartment – read on for everything you need to know about the Netflix release.

Booksmart star Kaitlyn Dever will star in
Rosaline, a
Romeo and Juliet–adjacent story. It’s described as a “modern twist on the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet” where we see “the most famous love story ever told” through the eyes of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline, a sharp but idealistic young woman who happens to be Romeo’s recent ex. What begins as an attempt to foil the famous romance and win back her guy becomes a journey of self-discovery as she ultimately works to help get the star-crossed lovers back together.”

Kaitlyn Dever, best known for her roles in Booksmart, Unbelievable, and Them That Follow, is reportedly in talks to star in Rosaline, a comedic and revisionist take on Romeo & Juliet. Based on the novel When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle, 20th Century Studios has acquired the rights for the film.

When You Were Mine, Rosaline sees the relationship between Shakespeare’s famous star-crossed lovers told through the eyes of Juliet’s titular cousin.
At the beginning of Shakespeare’s play, Romeo is pining for Rosaline, who has pledged to stay chaste. While he says he will never be able to move on from her, he later forgets her after sneaking into the Capulet party and meets Juliet.
In the film, Rosaline – who is described as a “sharp but idealistic young woman” – is originally trying to win back Romeo, but later works to get Romeo and Juliet back together before their fatal ends.
