Are you looking for something new to do in Perham? The Lions club of District 5M9 is seeking civic-minded people to join them in making a difference in the Perham community. They are hosting an information session on Thursday, May 20, in the Lakeside Event Center at 7 p.m. for people who want to learn more about what a Lions club does.
Legion to meet tonight
FLAT ROCK The monthly meeting of the Escanaba River American Legion Post 115 and the Auxiliary will be held at the Escanaba Township Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5.
Heart of the North Lions to meet Thursday
ESCANABA The Heart of the North Lions Club meeting will be held at the Highland on Thursday, May 6 with the eboard meeting at 6 p.m. and the General meeting at 6:45 p.m. Members are asked to plan to attend and invite a guest.

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club announced this week that they are expanding the present club service commitment to the Delaware Food Bank in Milford and plan to add an additional work shift starting in May 2021.
âDuring this pandemic year of great stress and concern for food insecurity from so many in Sussex County and beyond, the Lord Baltimore Lions Board endorsed expansion in this important service area,â representatives said.
Club President Jack Bauer said, âAlthough we are adding just three more hours per month, we hope that it makes a difference in helping some of our neighbors in greatest need. The Delaware Food Bank supports so many organizations and food distribution centers, it is an essential service.â
