SINGAPORE (CNA) – Over 113,000 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MoH) said in an update on Thursday.
Over 50 also received their second dose and completed the full vaccination regimen.
The numbers are expected to go up in the coming weeks as vaccination operations continue, MoH said.
Polyclinics and selected Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs) will also serve as vaccination sites. Seniors can currently be vaccinated at nine polyclinics and 21 PHPCs.
From Monday, polyclinics across Singapore will also begin offering COVID-19 vaccinations, MoH said.
Vaccinations for senior citizens aged 70 and above began on Wednesday at Ang Mo Kio and Tanjong Pagar. Over 250 were vaccinated on the first day, MoH said.
SINGAPORE (Jan 19): The Singapore Ministry of Health (MoH) today confirmed that one of the five symptomatic imported cases reported today is a 28-year-old female student from Malaysia.
Labelled as Case 59422, the Student’s Pass holder arrived from her home country, said the ministry in its full data released here.
As at noon today, Singapore recorded 26 new imported cases of which 21 are asymptomatic, while five were symptomatic.
The republic also reported four new cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 infections with two asymptomatic and two symptomatic.
In all, 30 new cases were reported here Tuesday, thus, bringing the total number of infections to 59,157.
SINGAPORE, Jan 14 Singapore's Ministry of Health (MoH) has confirmed that two of the 33 asymptomatic imported Covid-19 cases in the republic reported on Wednesday are Malaysian men. Both work permit holders who arrived from Malaysia are labelled as case numbers 59230 and 59232.
SINGAPORE (Dec 29): Singapore s Ministry of Health (MoH) has confirmed that one of the 13 imported Covid-19 cases in the republic today is a 45-year-old Malaysian man.
Labelled as case number 58774, the work permit holder arrived from Malaysia, the ministry said in its full data released here.
The ministry said the man and nine others who were asymptomatic were detected through its proactive screening and surveillance, while three remaining three were symptomatic. They had all already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN or under isolation, it said.
As of noon today, the republic reported a total of 13 new cases, with none in the community or residing in dormitories, thus bringing the total number of infections here to 58,542.
