The TRS-affiliated Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) Yellandu area vice-president Gaddam Venkateshwarlu was booked on the charges of harassing a woman over phone in Yellandu town.
Sources said the aggrieved woman, who is wife of an employee of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the local police against Venkateshwarlu charging the latter with harassing her by making repeated phone calls.
She submitted a phone conversation recording to the police to substantiate her charges, sources added.
Based on her complaint, the Yellandu police have registered a case under the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against Venkateshwarlu and are investigating.

Opposition parties accused of misleading people
Accusing the opposition parties of resorting to false propaganda on recruitments done in Telangana, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has released the list of jobs provided after the formation of Telangana and hoped that it would put an end to false propaganda.
In an open letter released to the media here, Mr. Rao said from 2014 to 2020, the government has filled 1,32,899 posts in various departments and organisations. These can be clarified with the departments concerned as well.

Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) N. Sridhar has asked officials to synchronise with the grid by November 300 MW of solar power plants being installed by SCCL.
The first and second phase of the project with a total capacity of 219 MW could be completed by April and the balance 81 MW in the third phase by September, Mr. Sridhar said at a meeting on Wednesday with the representatives of agencies involved in the erection work, Solar Energy Corporation of India, Central renewable energy department and other officials belonging to solar energy.
