Share Updated: 5:54 PM CDT Jul 24, 2021 WVTM 13 Digital The Cherokee County Sheriff s Office is investigating a shooting in which someone was killed.Sheriff Jeff Shaver released some information in a social media post, which stated deputies, along with Leesburg Police, Centre Police and Cedar Bluff Police were called to a residence on County Road 662 near Round Mountain this afternoon.Law enforcement officers found a gunshot wound victim at the scene, and that victim has died. This tragic incident was part of a domestic dispute and is very sad for the family, Sheriff Shaver said.The Cherokee County Major Crimes Unit and the Coroner s Office are investigating.
