Police are now looking for the unidentified man.
NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys said the confrontation began when the man began chastising a 51-year-old man about the way he was wearing his facemask.

As the argument escalated, he spat on the 51-year-old. Police inquiries have failed to reveal the identity of that person, they have looked at CCTV and ask questions, Deputy Commissioner Worboys said. That behaviour is just disgusting. If people have an issue that they cannot resolve with some cordial communication between two people in and around these retail settings, they should ring the police.
