A Crystal River man faces a drug-trafficking charge after Citrus County Sheriffâs Office authorities discovered 23 kilos of marijuana in a Hernando home he was renting.
Members of the sheriffâs officeâs Tactical Impact Unit were about to execute a warrant Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, to search Mykel Anthony Nelsonâs rented house off of East Delight Street, when other deputies informed them the 27-year-old was leaving.

Deputies later arrested Nelson near Turkey Oak Drive in Crystal River on two warrants alleging unrelated felony charges, according to Nelsonâs arrest report.
After deputies told him they also had a warrant to search his home, Nelson handed them his keys.
