The judge awarded life imprisonment to the convict and ordered him to pay a Rs50,000 fine or undergo a six-month additional imprisonment on default.

SAMAA - CTD arrests terrorists from Karachi s Gulistan-e-Johar

The Counter-Terrorism Department and Sindh Rangers arrested four terror suspects near Pehlwan Chowrangi in Karachi s Gulistan-e-Johar Wednesday. According to a CTD press release, the suspects, identified as Sajjad Ali Channa, Mohsin Raza Channa, Noshad Ali, and Aslam Baig, were arrested during a raid. Hand grenades and other arms and ammunition were seized from their possession as well. The terrorists belonged to the banned Sindh Revolutionary Army and were involved in multiple attacks on Rangers vehicles and check posts. The suspects were attending multiple protests for missing persons in Sindh, the police claimed. During questioning, they confessed to the following crimes: .

ATC acquits 26 MQM workers in illegal explosives case Party workers were booked after a raid at Nine Zero in 2015 PHOTO: FILE KARACHI: After a passage of six year, an anti-terrorism court acquitted on Friday 26 persons booked in an illegal explosives case following a raid at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters, Nine Zero. Issuing the verdict on 54 cases, the court acquitted 12 MQM workers, including Faisal alias Mota, Ubaid alias K-2, Nadir Shah, Amir alias Sar Phata, Amir alias Totla, Imtiaz, Abdul Qadir, Kazim Raza, Muhammad Amir, Shakeel, Mahmood Hasan, Muhammad Abid and Farhan Shabbir alias Mullah. The party workers were booked under the Sindh Arms Act, 2013 and Explosives Substances Act, 1908.
