Industries located in North Karachi have been facing acute water shortage for the past many days and due to this production activities have been stalled and it is feared that export orders may be missed. North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI) President Faisal Moiz Khan, while expressing deep concern over non-supply of water to the industries, requested Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh to take notice of the severe and issue directives to Managing Director Water Board for supplying water as per consumption of the industries. So that production activities can continue without any hindrance. KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi Saturday chaired a top-level meeting at the Governor House here in which the Karachi Transformation Plan being implemented in the city and efforts being made to develop basic civic infrastructure of the city came under discussion.
The meeting also discussed the early signs that emerged in the country of the fourth wave of coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting was attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar, and Karachi-based member of National Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Aftab Siddiqui.
Dr Arif Alvi said progress of Pakistan was linked with progress of Karachi, as the plight of the people of the city couldnât be ignored.

KARACHI: While “regretting” about the past when the government had failed to come up with a comprehensive plan for the development of Karachi, President Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday vowed that the federal government was not going to “ignore the plight of people” of the metropolis and called for early resolution of major infrastructure issues of the business capital.
The resolve from the top came at a meeting held at the Governor House and chaired by the president, who sat with senior provincial and federal dignitaries to discuss the Rs1.1 trillion Karachi Transformation Plan to resolve the major infrastructure issues of the metropolis.
