Templeton High School Athlete of the Week

Grade: Class of 2022 Coach’s comment: Alex Dahlen is our player of the week. Alex led the offensive attack for the Eagles in their loss to AG on Saturday at home. She went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Alex has been a strong force offensively for the team this season and is directing the outfield from her position in center field.  Alex is a great natural athlete and uses her ability to add consistency to the team offensively and defensively. Her hard work and constant smile are a big part of the team’s success. – Coach Keith Swank All coaches at Templeton High School are invited to participate in Athletes of the Week to recognize students who are a standout at a recent competition, showing improvement at practices, or bringing a great attitude to the team. GET IN LINE Just as SLO County gets its bearings for vaccinating the public against COVID-19, California is set to change things by centralizing vaccine distribution. As SLO County hits its COVID-19 vaccine stride by replacing a first-come, first-serve system with a lottery designed to make things more equitable for those eligible to receive vaccines and a multilingual pilot program to vaccinate and educate underserved essential farmworkers, California introduces a more centralized vaccine distribution system. MyTurn, a state web portal for registering first- and second-dose vaccine appointments, is glitchy with major problems. The county is uncertain how the transition to both MyTurn and Blue Shield s impending takeover of state vaccine distribution will affect its progress.
