Defense attorneys Mark Means and John Prior accused Special Prosecutor Rob Wood of attempting to coerce, unduly influence, coach, and or intimate Lori s sister Summer Shiflett in October, the East Idaho News reported.
After the joint motion to disqualify was filed Tuesday, Wood, who is serving in Madison County in Lori s case and acting as a Special Prosecutor in Fremont County for Chad s case, spoke out the next day denying all allegations against him and requesting an expedited hearing to clarify the lawyer s claims, the outlet reported.

Hearing set to consider disqualifying Vallow-Daybell prosecutor

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK)-A hearing will be held January 6 to consider whether to disqualify Special Prosecutor Rob Wood from prosecuting Lori Vallow-Daybell and her husband Chad Daybell in connection with the disappearance of Vallow’s children, Tylee and J.J.
The action was announced this week following a closed hearing last week.

Seventh District Judge Steven Boyce denied two motions for a judicial protective order. One was filed by the Prosecutor, the other by Vallow’s attorney.
The court did approve a motion from the defendants to extend the time they require to prepare for trial. By stipulation, Boyce has vacated a hearing on the defendants’ joint motions for a change of venue, originally scheduled for January 6, 2021.

Vallow/Daybell Prosecutor refutes defense allegations
ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Special Prosecutor Rob Wood is calling for an expedited court hearing on two motions filed against him this week by attorneys for Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell. The couple is separately accused of numerous charges related to the disappearance and deaths of Vallow s two children.
In a separate motion, Wood calls on the court to prohibit defense attorneys from releasing any defense exhibits to the news media or other publications or to make any comment about their exhibits in social media formats. To do so, Wood argued, would create difficulty in picking a trial jury.
